The Information Center for Acquired Deafblindness is a part of VISO, the National Organisation for Knowledge and Specialist Consultancy under the National Board of Social Services, an independent subdivision of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The Center is located as an independent unit at the Center for the Deaf in Herlev just outside Copenhagen.

The Board of Directors of the Center for the Deaf is the top decision authority of the Information Center. A steering group meets three to four times a year to discuss the overall strategy and activity of the Information Center.

The steering group has six members:

  • Peter Ryberg, representing FDDB (the Danish organisation of the deafblind)
  • Ole Mejndor, representing FDDB (the Danish organisation of the deafblind)
  • Bruno Madsen, executive director for the Center for the Deaf  (chairs the steering group)
  • Anne Vikkelsøe, representing the directors at the Center for the Deaf
  • Ole E. Mortensen, director of the Information Center for Acquired Deafblindness

Furthermore, the Information Center's information specialist Bettina U. Møller participates in the meetings as secretary for the steering group.
