Booklet 6: Narratives of Everyday Life
The 20 deafblind persons that were interviewed for the project were asked what desires they had for the project. Many of them wanted to know how other people with deafblindness lived their lives. They wanted to know how physical, psychological and social barriers in everyday life could be overcome in different ways.
This led us to choose 8 ”ideal types”, which do not correspond to any of the informants, but that draw on traits from several informants that have been gathered into a joint description of an ”ideal type” person. In this way, eight deafblind persons’ daily lives and thoughts are worked with.
